Our Preschool program sets our little ones on the path to developing a love for learning. Listening to stories, doing projects, playing outside and learning all about letters, colors, numbers and shapes keeps their day full of opportunities to explore, investigate and develop at their own pace both in a small group and individual setting. Every day provides love, warmth, hugs, learning and experiences that are both fun and challenging!
Learning in Pre-Kindergarten is achieved through play, structured activities and LOTS of songs and movement activities! Learning centers include dramatic play, blocks, crafts, letter and math games, housekeeping, library and puzzles. The children also enjoy a variety of thematic units such as community helpers, the five senses, families and growing plants. Children work both in groups and individually as they gain experience, develop skills and learn independence as well as responsibility.
Kindergarten builds on the child’s previous experiences and aims at balancing relaxed play and choice times with structured work times that meet the academic, spiritual, social and emotional needs of the five year old. Working in centers throughout the classroom provides each child with the opportunity to explore and be challenged in areas such as reading, writing, math, science, social studies and art. All of these activities are enhanced by our exciting “Around the World” curriculum through which the children learn about many different countries, customs and cultures from A-Z!
